Regular Veterinary Visits:
The visits will occur in one of our exam rooms with the Veterinarian (unless you choose to remain curbside or widespread illness forces us to change our protocols). When you arrive, we ask that rather than bringing your cat into the lobby, please call or text from your car to check in. This way, your technician can meet you and escort you directly into your exam room. By moving directly from your car into their exam room, we bypass the lobby which can be loud and may have other cats present (which can be a stressful experience for your cat). Once in the exam room, your cat will be able to leave their carrier to explore the room. Your technician will review your cat's medical history and discuss the plan for the visit, including prices. If you have concerns about costs and payment, please let us know and we can work with you to provide the best possible care within your budget. The technician will then update the doctor who will then come perform a thorough exam and consult with you about the final diagnostic and treatment plan. The technician will then collect any samples needed, take payment in the exam room for the services provided, and escort you back to your vehicle. An appointment can take anywhere from 40 minutes to two hours depending on the complexity of the issue being addressed. We avoid moving cats around the clinic as much as possible and keeping them in one space so they can feel safe. Sample collection such drawing blood will often be performed in the exam room with you present. If diagnostic tests are performed, you will receive the results via email, typically within two business days (specialty tests may take longer to receive results). |
Drop Off Visits:
A drop off appointment can be a convenient way to get your cat seen without taking up a lot of time in your busy schedule. For these appointments, we will schedule a time for you to drop off your cat. When you arrive, please call or text to check in, then your technician will meet with you in our lobby to review your cat's medical history and confirm the preliminary plan for the visit. Please plan on spending a few minutes with your technician so that we have all the information needed to fully care for your cat (typically five minutes if all forms are filled out in advance). The person listed as the owner of the patient in the medical record will need to be present at drop off (or have filled out the correct forms in advance) giving us permission to provide care to the patient. Once checked in, your cat will be set up in one of our spacious treatment area condos with water and a litter box (and plenty of love and attention from our staff if the cat is so inclined). During a break in their schedule, the Veterinarian will examine your cat and any pre-approved diagnostic tests will be performed. The doctor will then call the number provided at drop off to discuss their exam findings and finalize the plan for the day. It is best if the doctor is able to speak with you directly, so please keep your phone nearby. In the event they are unable to connect with you, they will leave a detailed message, and your cat's technician can answer any questions you may have. Once the final plan is determined, the doctor or technician will schedule a discharge time for you to pick up your cat. Your cat's technician will go over a summary of the visit and review any treatments performed or instructions for medications to be administered at home. If diagnostic tests are performed, you will receive the results via email, typically within two business days (specialty tests may take longer to receive results). |
Technician Visits:
Some visits may not require a consultation with the doctor and can be scheduled as a curbside appointment with our technicians (saving you some time and money!). When you arrive for your tech visit, please call or text to check in. The technician will come out to your car to confirm the plan, then take your cat to our treatment area to collect samples or provide routine treatments. Unfortunately, we cannot allow owners to accompany their cats into our treatment area for the safety and privacy of all the patients present, but rest assured your cat will be handled with the utmost care and respect while in our care. Once finished, the technician will return your cat to your car and take payment curbside. If diagnostic tests are performed, you will receive the results via email, typically within two business days (specialty tests may take longer to receive results). Technician appointments are generally completed quickly, but to be safe you should schedule for 10-30 minutes for your visit. |
Surgical or Dental Visits:
All surgery and dental appointments will be dropped off with at the clinic between 7:30-8:00am. Please call when you arrive and one of our experienced surgery technicians will meet with you to discuss the procedure and confirm the surgery plan. Once all the surgery patients are checked in and prior to starting their first surgery, the doctor will perform a wellness check on each patient to ensure they are healthy enough to undergo anesthesia. Our staff will alert you via text when they are getting started with your cat so that you are kept apprised of your cat's progress through the day and can be available by phone if the veterinarian needs to speak with you. During the procedure the veterinarian and at least one technician will be with your cat, monitoring at least seven different parameters at all times so that we may intervene immediately if any concerns were to arise. You will also receive a text at the end of the procedure letting you know that all went well and your cat is being transferred into recovery. Once your cat has fully recovered from anesthesia (and been provided a very important snack) your technician will call with a final update and set a discharge time with you. At discharge, the technician will review the post-operative instructions and any medications being sent home. We will call to check on all anesthetized patients the day after their procedure to confirm that they are doing well post-operatively. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any concerns about your cat. If biopsies are performed, you will receive the results via email, typically within 7-10 business days. |
